Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2010

Overview: There is definitely much in the way  of entertainment and novelty value, but I never got Rick Owens. I just don't see most of the clothing line as being very wearable. I would however select him, and not, say Ralph Lauren, to design the costumes for the next Mad Max movie (or Rihanna video). 




There is definitely a lot of buzz around RO. Will it last?

Rating: *1/2 (out of ****)

Highlights: Wrap around leather jackets  and coats

Lowlights: Too many to list: men in haltertops, squirrel furs, snakeskin boots, giant cannoli wraps, etc.

Janet Jackson: Make Me high fashion

I was browsing youtube, as I often do, when I came across Janet Jackson's new video "Make Me".




I was taken aback that whoever designed the costumes seems to have been very influenced by the designers Rick Owens

and Balmain:

Oh yeah, the video also looks a hell of a lot like her "Scream" video she did with Michael R.I.P.
