Alexander Mcqueen, Fall/Winter 2012 Men's collection

The past few seasons of McQueen have featured eccentric looks that were totally lost on me. That's why I was surprised this season to see a more a much bolder rock n' roll style aesthetic that reminded me a bit of Gucci and Burberry.  These are the perfect coats for the rock star or vampire, or even better, the rockstar who also happens to be vampire.

Alexander McQueen, Spring/Summer 2010

This was a bit of an odd show. Alexander McQueen didn't hold a runway show, but rather featured the pieces in a showroom, which a bit surprising for a designer known for his showmanship.

The collection was also a bit scattered. There were was a bit of 20's -30's retro element to some of the more formal clothing. There were also shirts, jackets and pants with all kinds of strange patterns, prints and designs. It's hard to know what was running through his mind. Some of it worked, some of it didn't.

Alexander Mcqueen, Fall 2009

I was very impressed with the Fall 2009 Steve McQueen show in Milan. Definitely one of his best. The outfits had the theatrical element reminiscent of Galliano show, yet were not quite as outlandish, not to mention a bit more practical.
