There is something very un-sexy about traditional black galoshes-- I don't know what it is. They're almost as bad as those old-school trench coat that your dad has in his closet.Having said that, I picked up a cool pair of purple galoshes at Holts in Montreal. I had also seen them for sale at Harry Rosen.
The company that makes them is called "Swims" (http://www.swims.no/). The company is Norwegian, but the galoshes themselves are made in Taiwan. They also come in a bunch of other bright colours such as orange and yellow. They aren't cheap; they retail for about $130 or so (although I did get mine on sale).
