I have a new pet peeve that's been festering inside me for a while. I need to get it off my chest. It's the male "slouchy hat". The hat has been popularized by celebrities such as Brad Pitt
and Colin Farell
Why the trend? I think it reflects an attempt by guys to offset a metrosexual image by giving off an earthy, hippy vibe.
A similar effect can be achieved by growing a beard, but I suppose the slouchy is a bit easier to maintain,

Dsquared² - 2010 Women's RTW Fall Collection
For those of you who may not already be familiar with Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared², I will briefly describe their rise to fame as household name fashion designers: Although their headquarters are based in Milan, the identical twins were born in Toronto as Dean and Dan Cantenacci to a big Italian family of nine children. After taking on several jobs as designers for various companies they decided to move to Milan where they worked for big name designers such as Gianni Versace and Diesel. They were eventually able to launch their their own label.
The big break for the duo occurred when they were selected by Madonna to design the costumes for her "Don't Tell Me" video.
Seeing the video at the time, I loved how the duo were able to combine Western plaid shirts with designer jeans to create a cowboy chic.
I enjoyed their 2010 Women's Fall collection, although they seem to have diverted from their signature style of mixing casual wear with glamour gowns. In the current collection they've obviously decided to be more consistent and added more glamour.
